Horrible. Food highly over priced. Low quality food. Also closed the Mt Dora location now in Tavares. Only local restaurant I've been to that I paid $50 for lunch and left hungry and dissapointed. Chicken skin was amazing, meat was beyond dry. Pulled pork was very good, hamburger was a hockey puck. Fries were greasy and cold. Never will try again and will never suggest to anyone. Quite the opposite. Less than 1 star is too good .

We ordered the barbecue rib sandwich, which was made with three bone-in ribs on untoasted white bread. I'm sure you can imagine that this was impossible to eat, and it was terrible.

I enjoyed the food and like their new location, a larger restaurant now. Food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I only went here once so I can't give a full five star. Otherwise, so far so good

I'm sorry I really wanted to give this place a good review. The food here looks and smells delicious. The problem is I haven't gotten any to eat. It took them 20 minutes to take our order, another 15 minutes for bread and we have now been here for over 70 minutes and have not seen a meal. People next to us have left after the person who appears to be the manager came out and said the food was ready and would he right out. 15 minutes later they left after waiting for more than an hour. They had gotten here before us. Our drink glasses were empty so I sent my son to the bar to get our refills. In preparation for someday receiving our meals I have now asked for silver wear twice. It hasn't shown up. Did I mention that I had to almost beg for bread? Worst service ever. Can't comment on the food. We have now been here for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Give me a break. BOOOOOOO!!!

The only thing keeping me from going the full 5 stars is the fact that I've only been to Angel's in Mount Dora once. They've just opened, it's the same folks who run Angel's Restaurant and Angel's Catering in Sanford. The menu is pure Soul Food/BBQ, and the brisket is as good as it gets. Had the pulled pork, some peas, cabbage, fried okra, and a sample of the brisket. Great stuff. Will make this a regular stop.
